Hi my Indian brethern, Before reading and commenting on this – I am as proud an Indian as you can find (proud of our multi-cultural diversity, our defence forces, our people’s unity in diversity and the brains that we as a race have!!!!) We have been celebrating Independence Day on August 15 (not new!!!) We as Indus Valley Civilisation first and as different kingdoms since then have been independent for long – except for a brief 200 year rule by British, French and Portuguese (taking Pondicherry and Goa into consideration). My thought and question is this – why celebrate it as Independence Day and who not as Unity day or Liberation day?
